How long does a gas fireplace installation take?
Gas log sets often finish in a single visit. Inserts typically run 1 to 2 days including the chimney liner. New direct-vent installations depend on framing and finish work — we give you the real timeline with the quote at your in-home appointment.
What does installation cost?
The firm number comes from the in-home visit, because venting, gas line routing, and finish work drive the price more than the unit does. Your quote includes the unit, vent kit, and installation — one number, no growing invoice.
Can you work with our builder or designer?
Yes — new-construction and remodel coordination is regular work for us, especially in the teardown-and-rebuild towns west of the city. Bring us in at the framing stage and the right unit gets roughed in at the right time, with the finish trades working around a plan instead of a surprise.
Can you convert our wood-burning fireplace to gas?
Yes — that's most of what inserts and log sets are. If the chimney and firebox are sound, an insert seals the firebox into a true heater; if you love the open flame, a vented log set keeps it with none of the wood. Either way, the conversion gets specified in your home.
Can you install a fireplace where there's never been one?
Yes. Direct-vent units vent through an exterior wall or the roof with a sealed pipe, so a blank wall can become the room's centerpiece. Framing, venting, gas line, and finish all get planned at the design visit.
